Winning Essay: "La Discriminación a Las Mujeres" written by Delyla Martinez
Delyla Martinez, rising 8th grader from Innocademy. Our team of 3 judges from Honduras and the U.S. unanimously chose Delyla's essay, “La Discriminación a Las Mujeres,” (Discrimination against Women) for best fulfilling the spirit of the prompt and our vision, “working for a just society together."
Delyla shared, "Ever since I was 8 I loved to write. It was my hobby and something I enjoyed doing. This is probably why English Language Arts is my favorite subject in school. My dream is to become an author when I graduate high school."
